Preorders & shipping

A preorder is a paid purchase of The Sommelier’s Secret before its regular launch. The preorder price is $59.99 per game. The planned launch price is $79.99; this is a future price comparison, not a claim that the game was previously sold at that price. Applicable tax and shipping charges are displayed at checkout before you pay.

Preorders close on Black Friday, November 27, 2026. Inventory is expected around Black Friday. Our current estimate is to ship the first 100 games during the following week, November 30–December 4, 2026, subject to inventory arriving as planned. This estimate applies to the first 100 units only. If your order is assigned to a later batch, its estimated shipment window will be provided before checkout and confirmed with your order. Shipment is different from delivery; carrier transit times depend on the service and destination. This does not promise delivery by Black Friday or a particular holiday.

We send order confirmation and shipping information to the email address provided at checkout. Keep that address current and check your spam folder. Please contact us promptly if your shipping address needs correcting. We will try to make changes before shipment, but an address change cannot be guaranteed once the parcel is with the carrier.

Available destinations, shipping services, and their charges are those shown at checkout. Sweepstakes eligibility does not itself mean that a particular delivery service is available. If an accepted order cannot be fulfilled to its destination, we will notify you and refund the unshipped order.

If shipment is delayed

If we cannot ship within the promised window, we will notify you before that deadline, explain the delay, and offer a revised dispatch date when available. You may agree to wait or cancel the unshipped order for a full refund. We will provide a response deadline and a free way to cancel by email or reply to our notice. We will obtain your affirmative agreement to wait; if we do not receive that agreement by the response deadline in our notice, we will cancel and refund the unshipped order. An indefinite delay does not take away your right to cancel before actual shipment.

Cancellations & refunds

You may cancel an order any time before actual shipment for a full refund. Email hello@thesommelierssecret.com or reply to your order confirmation email with your order number and “Cancel my preorder.” We do not charge a cancellation or restocking fee for an unshipped order. A fully canceled unshipped order is refunded in full, including the game price, applicable tax, and shipping or other order charges paid to us.

If your order has already shipped, use the return process below. A cancellation request is not blocked because the order earned sweepstakes entries. Any entry adjustment follows the Official Rules.

Refunds are issued to the original payment method wherever possible. For cancellation of an unshipped order, we process and submit the full refund to your payment provider within seven working days after your right to the refund arises, or sooner if required by law. Your bank or payment provider controls when the credit appears on your account. We do not replace a required money refund with store credit unless you freely choose that option and it is permitted by law.

If we cannot fulfill your order at all, we will cancel it, notify you, and provide a full refund. For a partially fulfilled order, we refund the unshipped portion and any associated tax and shipping or other charges that are refundable under applicable law.

Returns & damaged items

If you change your mind after delivery

You may request a return within 30 calendar days after delivery for an unused, unopened game in its original packaging. Email hello@thesommelierssecret.com or reply to your order confirmation email with your order number and “Return request.” Contact us before mailing the game so we can give you the correct return instructions and return address.

For a change-of-mind return, you pay the return postage. Once we receive and inspect an eligible return, we refund the game price paid and the associated refundable tax. Original outbound shipping is not refunded for a change-of-mind return unless required by law. There is no restocking fee. We initiate an approved return refund within seven working days after receipt and inspection.

If something arrives damaged, defective, or incomplete

Contact us as soon as reasonably possible with your order number, a description of the issue, and photographs if available. Please aim to report visible shipping damage or missing components within 30 days of delivery so we can resolve it promptly; photos are helpful but not an absolute condition of a remedy, and this request does not limit any rights you have under applicable law.

We will arrange an appropriate remedy, such as a replacement component, replacement game, or refund. When we require a return because of a defect, damage, or our shipping error, we cover the reasonable return shipping cost. Unopened-packaging requirements do not apply to genuine defect or missing-component claims.

If tracking shows a delivery problem or a parcel has not arrived, contact us so we can investigate with the carrier. Buying optional shipping protection is not a condition of receiving remedies that the law requires.

How refunds affect sweepstakes entries

The sweepstakes is open to eligible legal residents of the 49 U.S. states excluding Rhode Island, and the District of Columbia, age 21+. Rhode Island residents may purchase the game but cannot earn sweepstakes entries or win. See the Official Rules for complete eligibility requirements.

No purchase is necessary to enter or win. The sweepstakes awards ten entries per eligible game preorder and ten per eligible handwritten mail-in submission, subject to a maximum of 50 entries per person. Any award that would exceed 50 is credited only the number of entries remaining. Nonpurchase entrants may reach the full limit with five eligible handwritten mailings. Under the Official Rules, entries attributable to game units voluntarily canceled, returned, or refunded at the purchaser’s request before the drawing are removed. Partial refunds for canceled or returned units remove only their entries; a shipping refund or price adjustment without cancellation of a game unit does not remove its entries. Sponsor-caused cancellations, stock shortages, shipment delays, and refunds resulting from our inability to fulfill do not invalidate otherwise eligible entries. A valid refund request alone is not fraud. Independently valid mail-in entries remain eligible. Your cancellation and refund rights remain available regardless of entry method. Sweepstakes entry alone does not enroll you in marketing emails.

Privacy notice for orders, support & sweepstakes

This notice describes how The Sommeliers Secret LLC, operating The Sommelier’s Secret, handles information you provide when placing an order, requesting support, entering the sweepstakes, or choosing to receive our marketing messages.

Information we use

Depending on your interaction, we use your name, email address, mailing or shipping address, order and payment status, correspondence, and the information needed to confirm sweepstakes eligibility. We may request reasonable proof of a potential winner’s age and residency and tax information when legally necessary, using a secure submission method. Do not send identity documents or Social Security numbers with an ordinary entry or support email. Payment details are handled through the checkout payment provider; do not send full card numbers or passwords in support messages.

Why we use it

We use this information to process and deliver orders, manage cancellations and refunds, answer requests, prevent fraud, administer entries and the entry limit per person, select and verify the winner, deliver the prize, and meet legal and recordkeeping obligations. We send marketing messages only if you separately choose to receive them. You may unsubscribe from marketing; essential order, support, or sweepstakes communications can still be sent.

Who may receive it

We disclose only the information reasonably needed by service providers performing these functions, such as checkout and payment providers, carriers, fulfillment providers, email services, and any sweepstakes administrator. We may also disclose information when legally required or reasonably necessary to protect lawful rights and prevent fraud. We do not sell sweepstakes entry information or give entrants’ details to other brands for their independent marketing.

For a verified winner, we may announce the first name, last initial, and city and state to identify the result. Additional use of a photo, testimonial, or other publicity requires separate voluntary consent.

Retention, requests & choices

We retain information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes above, including applicable tax, accounting, promotion-record, dispute, and fraud-prevention requirements. We take reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information, but no transmission or storage method is completely secure.

You may ask us to correct your information or request access, a copy, or deletion, subject to applicable law and records we must retain. Where your state grants additional rights, including an applicable right to opt out or appeal a denied request, you may exercise them using the contact route below. We may reasonably verify your identity before acting. We do not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.

The sweepstakes is for adults age 21 or older. We do not knowingly collect sweepstakes entries from children. If you believe a child submitted information, contact us so we can investigate and remove it as appropriate.

Changes to this notice will be shown with a new version date. Material changes requiring additional notice or consent will be handled as required by law. This notice does not authorize undisclosed tracking or override choices offered by the checkout provider.

For a privacy request or other written inquiry: Email hello@thesommelierssecret.com or send correspondence to the address below, marked “Privacy request” or “Customer support,” as appropriate. Include a return email or mailing address so we can respond.

This is a business correspondence address, not a walk-in shop or an automatically authorized return warehouse.

Nothing in these policies limits nonwaivable rights under applicable law. Changes to ordinary store policies apply prospectively and do not reduce rights already attached to an existing order.
